- AOTOCOL STIMULUS granules contain Sterculia (3.10 gm) and Sennosides (18 mg). Sterculia is a vegetable gum from the karaya tree.
- It is natural dietary fibre which helps to relieve constipation and help keep you regular.
- Sennosides act as a mild peristaltic stimulant and aids the evacuation of the softened faecal mass. Sterculia is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract.
- Sennosides acts locally on the wall of the intestinal tract.
- It is also used by the people:
- With colostomies or ileostomies,
- Who need a high fibre diet, for example in diverticular disease of the colon,
- Who have had rectal or anal surgery,
- Who have swallowed something sharp to reduce the chance of damage to the intestine (gut).
- What AOTOCOL STIMULUS contains: The active substance is Sterculia & Sennosides. The 5gm sachet/granules contain Sterculia (3.10 gm) and Sennosides (18 mg).

- It is a sachet pack, 20 sachets each pack, containing 5 gm granules/ sachet.
- Other ingredients: Aspartame, Microcrystalline cellulose, Sodium hydrogen carbonate, color & Flavor.

- Before you take AOTOCOL STIMULUS
- Do not take AOTOCOL STIMULUS if your doctor has told you that you have:
- A blockage in your intestine (gut)
- Total loss of muscle tone in the colon.
- Faecal impaction.
- Allergy to any of the ingredients
- Taking AOTOCOL STIMULUS with food and drink AOTOCOL STIMULUS should be taken after meals and always drink plenty of water or soft drinks.
- Pregnancy and breast-feeding AOTOCOL STIMULUS is not recommended.
- AOTOCOL (Sterculia alone) is available if required in the pregnancy and lactation. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
- Driving and using machines AOTOCOL STIMULUS should not affect your ability to drive or use machines.
- How to take AOTOCOL STIMULUS
- The usual dose for adults and the elderly is 1 to 2 sachets, or 1 to 2 heaped 5ml spoonful’s, taken once a day after evening meals.
- Do not take AOTOCOL STIMULUS if you are lying down or just before you go to bed.
- For the children aged below 12 years old: Ask a doctor before use.
- If AOTOCOL STIMULUS does not work after you have taken it for 4 days, do not take anymore, and see your doctor or pharmacist.
- To take AOTOCOL STIMULUS, put the dry granules on your tongue from the sachet, spoon or your hand, or just take a few at a time if that is easier.
- Alternatively, you can sprinkle AOTOCOL STIMULUS on to soft food such as yoghurt.
- Swallow the granules with plenty of water or a cool drink, so that the esophagus (gullet) does not become blocked. Never chew or crush the granules.
- How to store AOTOCOL STIMULUS
- Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.
- Store in a dry place below 25°C temperature.
- Do not use AOTOCOL STIMULUS after the expiry date which is stated on the sachet/carton as month/year. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
